Please let me introduce myself

Photography has been a passion of mine since childhood. My father generously let me use his Licaflex 35mm and a roll of film and I was hooked. He set up a darkroom in our basement and I tumbled into another world. After being accepted into photography school at Colorado Mountain College I found out that pursing this passion professionally took away from my spontaneity and relaxed appreciation for what I was shooting. Luckily Graphic Design was a prerequisite course and I was in love all over again. Now I am able to merge these two passions by working with fellow professional photographers and do what I love. I’m blessed.

As a Colorado native for 20 years with a Graphic Arts degree in hand, I moved to California to broaden my horizons in the Graphic Arts field. (Turning 21 on a sunny sandy beach in San Diego was a motive to move also, I’ll have to admit.) There, I worked as a designer for local newspaper, printing and design firms and eventually opened my own business. Working with ad agencies, graphic artists, and print shops I was able to pick up overflow work that was to be “farmed out” and  The Art Farm was born. Furthering my Graphic Arts education by jumping into the cutting edge technology of computer generated design, I attended Platt College in San Diego taught by Jack Davis, presently a leading PhotoShop instructor and appointed Guru. Shortly thereafter I met my Vermont native husband and moved to Brookline, a picturesque village in the southwestern corner of Vermont, where I continued working as a graphic artist while raising 3 children and 7 dogs over the past 23 years.
Being a Graphic Artist for almost 30 years,
I have continued to attend conferences and workshops to keep up-to-date on new technologies. Using that knowledge and collaborating with other professionals URlife was established to help  produce visual stories for our clients to share. I’ve shared a bit of my story and passion. Now it’s time to share yours with the elements of  design, photography and even music. This gives us great pleasure and the opportunity to also share some SMILES.
